Margaret's Halloween party 2010

What do you think, Mom? Am I scary enough?

Oh what a day of fun! Margaret- who is Ashton's daycare provider, put on her usual Halloween party on Sunday 10/24/10. She out-did herself with a professional balloon decorator, all kinds of fun decorations and even a haunted house for the kids. Ashton had a blast running all over the place exploring all the neat things there were to see- which the balloons were his all time favorite! We ate pizza, had cookies and candy and a great time getting to know the other parents and kids. Thanks again, Mrs. Margaret for another fun Halloween party!

A little truck action before the party...

All the kids had to wait for the "unveiling" of the Halloween playground...

Sooo.... Can we go now???

I think some candy may be hidden in this car!

All the kiddies are scattered about looking for treats, ghosts and gobblins..

Mrs. Margaret was greeting everyone at the door.

Mrs. Margaret let the kids all have a turn mixing her eyeball and skull stew.

I could really sit here all night and just play with these balloons....

Yep, Pretty sure my favorite part of this party was sitting here playing with this here balloon!

Ashton...the walker

Well, it's been official for almost 2 months now, but since Mommy's previous camera chip has gone ka-poot and she has lost some pretty valuable pictures and videos (don't bring it up to her- unless you want to get her upset...) we have had to take more recent walking videos. But here's video proof to those who have not seen me recently that I am an offical walker...and boy do I keep my parents busy!!! ;)

Wings Over Atlanta 2010

Mom and Dad headed to Dobbins Air Force Base yesterday 10.17.10 to see the bi-annual Atlanta Airshow. They went 2 years ago before I was around to see the Thunder Birds fly and this year the Blue Angels put on the show. They left super early to get a good spot and I stayed home with Grandmommy Hopper since my ears are still too tender to go since the jet engines are so super loud. However they have promised me that when the next show comes in 2 years I can go. Even though they went without me, they brought me back a really cool blow up Blue Angel Jet, so I forgave them! Glad you had lots of fun Mom and Dad!

Go Braves.... Goodbye Bobby

Here in the DiFatta home, pretty much every Braves game of the season is watched. I have my very own foam tomahawk, with which I like to chant the Braves OOOOooooOOOO to. I of course do my own version, but Mom and Dad think it's the cutest darn thing ever! They are trying to raise themselves a little Braves fan and I think they have succeeded.
And a huge thanks to Bobby Cox and his long career as the Braves coach. Too bad they did not make it to the playoffs, but he had a great last year.

What did you say???......

Ashton's words are expanding by the day and here are a few of what he's talking about:

  • Daddy (first of course)

  • Ma-Ma (usually when upset or in need)

  • Doggie

  • Bye-Bye

  • Hello

  • Hi

  • Socks

  • Box

  • Ba-Ba (which referred to his bottle and now sippy cups)

  • Brrrr (referring to a cold drink or anything Mom and Dad are seen drinking)

  • Anything seen on tv or stuffed animal is referred to as "doggie"

  • Boom, Boom, Boom (Yes, for the Black-Eyed Peas song!)

  • Ook For book

Cute gestures:

  • Loves his blanket and to put in on the floor and snuggle it

  • Pretty much anything fuzzy or stuffed gets "snuggled"

  • Takes his socks and lays them on his feet. He knows where they go, just not quite how they get on there...this is when "socks" is usually repeated over and over

  • Takes Mommy's hand, grabs it and lays his hand puppet on it because he wants her to play puppet some more

  • Waves his Braves tomahawk in the air and sings his own Braves song

  • Gives the custest laugh and grin to something he thinks is funny

  • Knows that if he throws his food on the floor the dog will come and eat it, so if he's done with a meal, he starts the downward throwing..

  • Loves to hug and be snuggled

  • Loves music and to dance and wave his hands in the air... especially to the BEP song "Boom, Boom, Boom" and whatever song he hears at the time

  • Dad plays him guitar and he beats on it to try and play himself

  • Takes Mommy's brush and brushes his hair with it... or at least tries to

  • Loves to get his teeth brushed and thinks it's so ticklish and so funny when he bites down on your finger

And I'm sure many others that I'm forgetting right now....

But, needless to say, he is getting so smart by the day! It seems as though he learns something new everyday and it is such a blessing to watch this sweet baby boy grow and expand his mind. He is just the most wonderful gift ever given to us and we thank the Lord for him daily!

Welcome Baby Ervin!

We went to the Hospital last week to see the new addition to the Ervin family who was born on 10-10-10. Ellise Willow is a beautiful baby girl with two very proud parents. We were so glad to see them! We also got to see the Madsen family and their new baby boy Phineus, who was also adorable. I was having a great time visiting, meeting the new babies and eating a box of Fruit Loops!
